Sweaters - cardigan or pullovers, infant to child.
My love of knitting and crocheting brought me to a wonderful world of sweaters for infants and children. While most of my creations are all wool I do also make a few in acrylic. My mom always told me - if it is worth making then make it in wool. With all the natural fibers available today I am in heaven at the yarn store - alpaca, silk, merino wool, quivet, angora, mohair. I particularly like sweaters that I can make with as few seams as possible. I have found Zimmerman's Baby Surprise Jackets while challenging in the beginning particularly nice to make once I get the first few rows set up. Top down are especially nice because raglan sleeves can take on interesting patterns. My latest sweater is one that is a cardigan with buttons down the side giving me a nice place to use my collection of vintage buttons.
